Renovating your home can be an exciting and rewarding experience but it can also be stressful and disruptive for your family. At Doering Design and Build we understand this and we recognize that your home is likely your most valuable asset and a home renovation is a significant investment. For Clients it’s also a major time investment as well; weeks or months, with literally hundreds of decisions to be made.

We are committed to supporting you every step of the way and to exceeding your expectations.
Ongoing communication with clients is key from start to finish on all projects.

Initial Contact

Most of our referrals come from satisfied Clients. An initial email or phone call will provide enough details to get us started (You can reach out to us using the Contact Us link below)

Site Visit

An initial site visit will provide more specific details of the Client’s goals and the scope of the project. The site visit is an ideal opportunity to discuss possible options and answer questions.

Renovation Proposal

We will provide you with a detailed Renovation Proposal within 5 days that includes:
  • the overall scope of the project
  • a step-by-step outline of all of the work to be done
  • an outline of optional features
  • a complete budget for the project and payment schedule
  • a scheduled start date
  • details on how we will protect your home throughout the renovation
  • details of our insurance coverage

Renovation Contract

When you are ready to move forward you can sign the Renovation Contract online.
Depending on the scope of your project, surveys, architectural drawings and engineering drawings may be arranged following the signing of the Renovation Contract.
Permit applications will be submitted after drawings are prepared and reviewed with the Client.
A Deposit Cheque is required to secure scheduling at the start of the project.

DURING THE PROJECT

  • On day One I will personally be onsite to launch your project and make sure any questions and concerns are dealt with personally
  • Throughout the project, ongoing daily communication between our clients and our on-site team is critical to completing every step of the project.
  • Any requested client additions to the project scope are managed through a Change Order process which involves sign-off by the client before implementing
  • On the last day of the project I will personally be on-site to ensure the project results have met all of your expectations.
